Natalia Severdia founded White Arch Studio on the principle that clean, elegant design is the basis for improving our everyday lives. Natalia won a 2010 Green & Bold Award in recognition of her pro-bono work. She recently designed the interior of the new gallery and offices of the Marin Arts Council. She is a graduate of the U.C. Oakland Convention Center - Oakland, CA

Area of approx. 64,000 sq. ft. in downtown Oakland, adjacent to the Marriott City Center Hotel. Complete interior renovation of the existing Pre-function Areas, Exhibit Halls and Meeting Rooms, including custom carpet, new custom lighting fixtures, all custom furniture, custom wall covering, window treatments and accessories. As the Lead Designer, responsible for complete FF&E specification package, architectural finish schedule, completing the interior design set of construction documents, coordination with architect and consultants. Very fast-paced project - 9 weeks from Schematic Design phase through the Bid Documents Submittal. The project is geared to achieve Silver LEED certification.

The Westin Playa Conchal Resort & Spa - Costa Rica
Spices - Asian fusion Restaurant

A resort restaurant located at the Pacific side of the most western part of Costa Rica just north of Tamarindo. The resort is adjacent to the championship Robert Trent Jones II golf facility. After reflagging in May 2011, the Westin Playa Conchal Resort & Spa is the first Starwood property in Costa Rica in 20 years and the first all-inclusive resort in Starwood's global portfolio. As a designer, I was responsible for redesigning the existing restaurant in minimal Japanese spirit yet sense inspiring. The responsibilities included the Schematic Presentation - FF&E and architectural finishes selection and Construction Documents, including a detail custom millwork design.

101 Market - 4th Floor - San Francisco, CA
Employee Cafeteria

A government project involved complete interior upgrade of the 4th floor Employee Cafeteria to serve as multipurpose space, among other functions, as Conference Center, Business Meeting Space and Lounge. As the Lead Designer on this project, I have utilized skills in all aspects of the design from developing multiple conceptual color schemes of materials and finishes, new and flexible space plan, including various zones to accommodate multiple functions, extensive FF&E research to comply with government standards and approved vendors. The highlight of the space are the customized curved resin ceiling panels that serve as an oversized lighting shades and provide space with the unique finishing touch.

The Westin Playa Bonita - Panama
Asiana - Asian Restaurant

New built restaurant, part of a newly constructed hotel at the Playa Bonita Beach just couple miles north of Panama Canal. Acted as a designer solely responsible for creating a digital presentation of all visual concept for the restaurant design, for selection of all seating, casegoods, upholstery materials, lighting fixtures, artwork, accessories and finishes, creating complete set of construction documents and finish schedule. Project required close coordination with all the parties involved, including the owner, architect, Westin Latin American brand standards team, designers of the adjacent spaces and consultants.

Renovation of the Westin hotel in the hearth of Los Angeles, designed by John Portman in 1976. The scope included an extensive redesign of entire public space - Lobby, Lobby Bar, Valet, Front Desk, Concierge, Lounge, Lakeview Bistro, Food Court and private dining areas. The elaborate scope of the project required close coordination of all design teams members, including Gensler architects and landscape designer - Marta Fry & Associates. As a Designer, I was responsible for the completion of the Finish Schedule, FF&E specification and art & accessories selection as well as for the Construction Document revisions and complete Construction Administration, including 39 RFIs and 54 Submittals, extensive custom furniture and lighting shop drawing approval and purchasing agent communication.

Custom interior renovation of guestrooms and Royal Beach Club in the Westin architectural wonder designed by Javier Sordo Madaleno at the coast of the Sea of Cortez. The 243 guestrooms, all facing the ocean, have been upgraded with custom millwork and custom finishes, fixtures and furnishings. There were created two packages, one for the Standard and second for the Deluxe Rooms. The FF&E specifications required special attention as all the items were to be replicated by local manufacturers.
